Alarm Manager

Alarm Manager provides the framework and the engine for processing alarms at the control layer.  System alarms are configured using ControlBuilder®.  The resulting Alarm Automation Objects are utilized by Alarm Manager in the process controller.  Additionally, Alarm Manager provides the required interface to external devices such as HMIs and SCADAs.

Batch Manager

Batch Manager provides the framework and the engine for the controller based line and unit level control.  Recipes can reside locally in the controller or can be downloaded from a Microsoft SQL database using the EZSoft Recipe Manager, a highly scalable, ASP.NET web-based database application. 

Batch Manager Provides the Following:

Operator Interface for Batch Level control and monitoring of the process

Line/Unit level control which resides in the controller for line level and unit level control

Interface to recipe management, schedule management, inventory management and report management

All of the necessary line and unit level program modules and data-types for a fully functional system

Provides the power and flexibility of server based batching systems without the added cost and complexity associated with server based systems

Device Manager

Device Manager provides the controller level device control.  Device logic is generated by ControlBuilder® using well defined standards and code constructs based on the specific process. The resulting code interfaces to the phase layer in the process controller.  Additionally, Device Manager provides the required interface to external devices such as HMIs and SCADAs.

Device Manager Provides the Following::

Operator Interface displays for control and monitoring of all system devices

Device level control which resides in the controller for device control, alarming, messaging, interlocks, permissive etc.

Interface to the phase layer

All of the necessary device level program modules and data-types for a fully functional system

Phase Manager

Phase Manager provides the controller level phase control.  Phase logic is generated by ControlBuilder® using well defined standards and code constructs based on the specific process. The resulting code interfaces to the Unit and Device layers in the process controller.  Additionally, Phase Manager provides the required interface to external devices such as HMIs and SCADAs.

Phase Manager Provides the Following::

Operator Interface displays for control and monitoring of all system phases

Phase level control which resides in the controller for phase control, alarming, messaging, interlocks, permissive etc.

Interface to the EZSoft Batch Manager or alternately to an external server batch product such as Rockwell Software FactoryTalk Batch, Wonderware InBatch or GE Proficy Batch

All of the necessary phase level program modules and data-types for a fully functional system

Advantages of Phase Manager:

Uses standardized and well tested code constructs that adhere to ANSI/ISA-88 standards

Can be used for simple systems that do not require Line or Unit level control
